Today, a friend and I went to the Service at Gore Park. It was very moving but the crowd was too much to take any pictures. It was a little chilly but the Salvation Army was giving out free hot apple cider, cookies and coffee which was really very good of them. There were several councillors there as well as the Mayor, Fred Eisenberger.
This same friend and I went to the special concert at Central Library and heard the Kalidiscope Singers who rendered old songs from the war years most delightfully. We also were encouraged to sing along which was very much appreciated by the audience who participated very freely.
A most enjoyable and moving event for all those who attended.
